The beloved Cyclone of Coney Island’s Luna Park is turning 90 years old this summer and we’re celebrating by sharing 90 fun facts about the famous coaster…. just kidding… we brewed a beer!
Now introducing: 90 Years Young
90 Years Young is a hazy, intensely aromatic, “2.5x” IPA. Coming in at 9.0% ABV and dry hopped with lupulin powder, this beer hits you right on the nose with intense papaya, melon and orange hop aromas. Peach, blueberry and mango hop flavors are balanced by a strong malt hop backbone and a warming finish.
ABV: 9.0%
IBU: 50
Appearance: Cloudy, hazy, straw colored.
Aroma: Papaya, melon, orange from intense hop varieties
Taste: Peach, blueberry, mango, honey malt character
Malt: 2 Row, White Wheat, Torrified Wheat, Flaked Oats, Honey Malt
Hops: Mosaic, Amarillo, Citra, Mandarina Bavaria, Galena, Mosaic Lupulin Powder
When can you try it?
90 Years Young will be available at the brewery and Place to Beach starting June 25th (while it lasts).
It will also be on tap at Luna Park for the Cyclone’s 90th Birthday Celebration on June 25th! The block party will include face painting, giveaways and special performances by the Harlem Globe Trotters & Fabolous! We’ll also be in the house so be sure to find our crew for a beer and celebrate this great Coney Island Landmark.
