The leaves are falling, the wind is blowing, and jackets are coming out the closet: what is it about Autumn that makes us reflect on our year? Whatever it is, we here at Coney Island Brewery are looking back on an awesome year filled with tasty beers, amazing events, and most importantly, wonderful people.
It’s easy to lose track of all the delicious brews we served. But who could forget such treats like the welcoming of My Coney Island Baby Maibock and the celebratory 90 Years Young Double IPA in honor of the world famous Cyclone’s 90th anniversary? And when the sun was shining we were all about that Watermelon Wheat, Tart Cherry Berliner Weisse, and the smash success that is Cotton Candy Kölsch.
We feel fortunate that we’ve gotten to boogie down with you all at our events. Whether it was rewarding you with a cold one after the Brooklyn Half Marathon, helping you find a furrever friend at Puppies and Pints, celebrating the 4th of July with our friends at Nathan’s Hot Dogs and reigning champ Joey Chestnut, or testing your strength and will with the stein hoisting competition at Freaktoberfest. And of course, The Mermaid Parade. No amount of rain could ever contain us!
But just because summer is over doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of ways to entice you to come on down and visit. Looking to warm up after your cold, quiet, and contemplative walk along the boardwalk? Warm up with our recently tapped Gravesend Ghoul, a Belgian Dubbel brewed with blood oranges and ginger. Or what about the soon to be released Everything But The Schmear beer? Inspired by the bagels that keep New Yorkers running, this fella is brewed with caraway, poppy, and sesame seeds with a helping heap of oats and rye.
Looking for the perfect way to close out the year? Join us as we toast the New Year with the release of our Merman New York IPA. We’ll be counting down the clock with catering by Garguillos, our Never Sleeps champagne-inspired ale, and a number of other specialty beers. Feeling extra adventurous? Shake off the January first hangover when we join the Coney Island Polar Bear Club and take The Plunge into the icy Atlantic.
