Beer Finder

From February 19 – 28, we’ll be bringing Coney Island classics as well as some brand spankin’ new beers to events throughout the city for New York City Beer Week! Over the past few months, Eric and the crew have been working on some special releases that we can’t wait to share with you all. Check ’em out!

SMaSH Beer – Trapp’ed on the Cyclone Trappist-style Tripel

The old world meets New York in our Trappist-style Tripel! We used malt and hops from New York growers to create this classic Belgian beer and it’s nothing short of delicious.

ABV:   8.5%
Malt:   2-Row, C20, and Malted Spelt
Hops:   Chinook, Willamette, and Cascade
Tasting Notes:  This beer has a high ester yeast profile that brings out fruit and clove notes in the aroma and taste.  The strong malt backbone gives a sweet caramel flavor, which is balanced by a slightly spicy hop profile.

Hot Toddy Ale

Hot Toddy is a full-bodied copper colored strong ale that was inspired by the classic winter warmer of the same name. We’ve been serving it up exclusively at the brewery this past month but will be bringing it out into the world for NYC Beer Week! It was fermented with honey, cinnamon and lemons, and aged on whiskey barrel staves, and can be enjoyed both cold and  hot.

ABV:   10.5%
Malt:
   Maris Otter, Vienna, CaraPils
Hops:   Centennial, Cascade
Tasting Notes:   Warm oak aroma and flavor is prevalent while the taste finishes with subtle honey sweetness. Very light fruity hop bitterness provides a perfect balance.

MerMan Imperial Pilsner

It’s no secret that we believe in Mermaids. We’re from Coney Island after all. Naturally, we also believe in the merman which is why we decided to brew a bigger, badder, imperial version of our classic.

ABV:   7.9%
Malt:
Pilsner, Malted Wheat, Malted Rye, Flaked Barley
Hops:   Tettnanger, Chinook, Saaz
Tasting Notes:   This medium-bodied pilsner boasts a unique rye spiciness that compliments a strong malt backbone and balanced mouthfeel. A piney and spicy hop bitterness and aroma, compliment the crisp, clean taste.

To get a taste of one of these beers, join us on the Opening Bash Cruise, at Beer Week Cask Fest or find us at one of the many free events we’re hosting around town. Check out our full list!

We’ll also be hosting Closing Day down at the brewery on Feb. 28th!  Our head brewer Eric will be behind the bar from 1-3pm so bring your beer-related questions and see if you can Stump the Brewer  for 50% off your pint.
