Spring has Sprung on the Boardwalk

There’s a buzz down on Coney Island as the boardwalk starts to stir from its winter slumber. The weather’s getting warmer, garage doors are raising and certain roller coasters are getting fresh coats of paint. Summer is right around the corner and we can’t wait to join in on the fun this year.

Since 1903, the bright lights of Luna Park have played host to flocks of people looking to escape the city in favor of sand, surf and most importantly, FUN. Classics like the Wonder Wheel, the Cyclone and the Parachute Jump remain while new attractions like the revamped Thunderbolt, the Soarin Eagle and the Sling Shot offer something for all types of thrill seekers looking to #TaketheRide.

Our friends over at Luna Park will open their gates on Good Friday, March 25 with Buy 1, Get 1 Free wristbands and the official Opening Ceremony will follow on Saturday, March 26. Get there early and you could take a free ride on The Cyclone as one of the first 100 guests. You can also head over to Deno’s Wonder Wheel Amusement Park for the 31st Annual Blessing of the Rides where  the first 96 guests will ride free to celebrate their 96th anniversary!

If you can’t make it this Saturday, you can hit up the People’s Playground every weekend from now until Memorial Day and then seven days a a week after that. Deno’s  Wonder Wheel Amusement Park will also be open on Good Friday, March 25, and Easter Sunday, March 27, and subsequent weekends and school holidays until our daily schedule begins Memorial Day Weekend. Come for the beach, come for the fun, come for the food, come for the beer!

Find us all over the boardwalk or better yet, visit your favorite boardwalk brewery at 1904 Surf. Ave. for pints, tasting flights, growler fills and tours.  We’re open Thursday – Sunday and will open 7 days a week starting Memorial Day Weekend!
