Kassaye Selassie is a Singer / Songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Raised in a musical family, it was only natural to fall into the graces that only music can provide. With roots that go one generation back to the country of Ethiopia, his ear and voice are tuned to a sound that isn’t often heard to the American public. Heavily influenced by Ethiopian and American jazz as well as Rhythm & Blues, he is an artist that can offer an intimate setting through an acoustic set of songs or can be equally as edgy in front of a live band.
Playing with several bands and as a solo performer over the years has garnered him the opportunity to perform at a number of venues throughout the tri-state area including The Bitter End, Sullivan Hall, The Oakside Mansion, and the illustrious Hammerstein Ballroom opening for Special EFX and World Series Champion & Jazz Musician Bernie Williams.

Currently, Kassaye continues to perform throughout the New York / New Jersey area.
