The bustle of the city lives in the subway – next to the abandoned pizza slices and subway creatures, there are underground tunnels adorned with mosaic tiles, with barreling trains moving through. It was fitting for us to release a beer to pay homage to that lifeblood – Mosaic Underground, a hazy pale ale brewed with – you guessed it – Mosaic hops. Especially with our own stop, Stillwell Ave., the end of the F line turning 100 this year! Before the extension of the subway system in 1919, travel to Coney was only possible by boat. This station made Coney Island accessible to the masses and helped turn this corner of the world into one of the biggest destinations in the country!
While many see the subway simply as a means to get from point A to point B, one of the most magical parts of riding the subway is seeing the delicate tile mosaics that breathe life into the underground tunnels.

To truly pay homage to these complex works of art, we used Mosaic hops, equally intricate as the artwork it’s celebrating. Aromas and flavors of ripe blueberry, mango and stone fruit, are featured in this pale ale.
